Love is a Rose Love is a rose.
It's immediate luster demands admiration. The fragrance vying for attention, irresistable to linger and hazard a caress of soft satin petals. Gaining it pride of place, treasured for all it stands for. For our undying affections. But no matter how much the rose is nurtured, no matter how much sunlight and smiles it receives, the petals curl abhorrently. Colour once admired, drains and becomes a sepia memory that never compares to the original. Even a picture of this would be better than the object itself, for the fragrant waft mutates to Love is a Rose

2nd SeptemberAll white walls aren't very inspiring, but in what is best described as a cubbyhole at least the small rectangular room feels cosy. Two matching brown leather sofas stand in an L-shape, the smaller facing away from the window that looks out to the road. Or, rather it would have a view of the road, if the two cars needn't park directly in front of the house to have any off-street parking, making it necessary to walk inbetween the two vehicles to arrive at the front door.
The other window is at the opposite end of the room, behind the glass desk, presumably it is meant to let light in from the conservatory. Yet it can't let in a ve 2nd September

Reading: Tom Jones by Henry Fielding

National Novel Writing Month! aka November. I'm gonna try and do that in my own way, haven't signed up on the official website as I'll be using a chunky notebook to do the writing, and it I do manage to write a 175 page novel (or however words they say it would roughly be), I'm not going to be able to type it up before 1st December

Other stuff. . . well, started Uni, already had an essay handed in and presentations to . . well present.

It appears I'm still reading Tom Jones

I have read Oathbreaker by Michelle Paver since my last journal though, I just put off Tom Jones as it's such a weighty book and Henry Fielding gets on your nerves the amount of times he acknowledges the reader and what the reader thinks and wants and knows and might like and might not. ARGH! Get on with the story!
